Founded by Dr. Nishal Ramadas, an engineer, educator, and entrepreneur, with over two decades of experience in ultrasonic instrumentation, flow measurement, and smart sensing systems, CELMETRIX transforms advanced research into impactful industrial solutions.

Our mission is to enable smarter, faster, and more sustainable manufacturing and energy systems through next-generation sensing and analytics. By combining proprietary transducer design, AI-driven data analytics, and intelligent hardware, we deliver breakthrough solutions for battery quality assurance, and industrial process optimisation.

Nishal's story
Nishal began his journey in Bangalore, India, where he earned a Bachelor’s in Medical Electronics Engineering. His curiosity for how sound could be harnessed to see, sense, and solve problems led him to pursue both an MSc and PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, Scotland. There, he developed pioneering research on ultrasonic transducers and imaging systems, setting the stage for a career that would span industry, academia, and entrepreneurship.
His early professional path took him through research positions at the University of Southampton’s Institute for Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) and the Centre for Ultrasonic Engineering (CUE) at Strathclyde — collaborating with global industry leaders including Rolls-Royce, Airbus, Shell, and BNFL.​​ Nishal later joined Elster Metering Limited in Belgium (acquired by Honeywell) where he became Business & Technology Director for Ultrasonics. In this role, he led the design of next-generation flow measurement systems and helped shape innovation strategies that continue to influence the sector today.

A pivotal moment came when Nishal was awarded a Marie Curie Research Fellowship, allowing him to spend two years at the University of Warwick and Technische Universität Darmstadt. There, he established two new ultrasonic research laboratories and led EU-funded collaborative research on advanced transducer technologies — work that produced new scientific insights and multiple publications.

Driven by the desire to accelerate innovation and bridge academia with application, Nishal transitioned into entrepreneurship. He founded Hy-Met Limited, a UK-based company developing sensor and software solutions for the energy transition — and Azeriri Pvt. Ltd. in India, focusing on ultrasonic and industrial electronics.

Today, as the Founder and CEO of CELMETRIX, Nishal continues to combine his technical depth, global industry insight, and academic rigor to create intelligent sensing solutions that help industries measure better, move cleaner, and operate smarter.
